Marine Charging Point (MCP) is pleased to announce that our  CEO, Oscar Sandberg, will be speaking at the Green OSV forum to be held in Malaysia on 27 October 2026. 

The session, entitled “Beyond The Plug: Building the Onboard and Onshore Charging Environment “, will consider what comes next after the charge connection, and what needs to be done for reliable vessel electrification in the onboard and onshore environment. 

Vessels are shifting to hybrid and full-electric power solutions, and the industry is starting to understand that having a plug does not guarantee a complete switch. Availability of power supply, charging infrastructure, safety, scheduling and servicing are determining whether electrification meets its promises. 

With the benefit of our experience in installing charging systems and safety solutions for marine vessels, Oscar will share his views on the matter. 

The session will be highly valuable for vessel owners and operators, port and offshore terminal operators, shipyards, energy companies, and any other party striving to implement electrification in the maritime sector.
